For Trump or not for Trump? that is the question…

As many of you already know this election was a circus show. I actually prayed and prayed on it and finally decided to just leave it in God’s hands. I realized that I was starting to become worried and in fear about this whole election and the safety of our country. That is not of God! Please don’t comment on my blog if all you’re going to do is gloat or complain, it’s straight talk no sugar added, life topics the way I see them. It doesn’t make it right or wrong it’s my point of view.

Even as I was standing in my booth ready to vote I couldn’t stomach the idea of voting for someone who put every race, group of people, nationality and gender down to lift himself up. I was torn only because there were somethings in between the madness I did like, like bringing back manufacturing jobs, but hated the fact that he groups people into categories and thinks that global worming is a hoax by the Chinese?… really? I went outside today in mid November and it’s 60 degrees, I didn’t even need a jacket, but maybe it’s just me…. no need for the EPA.

There are lots of other issues I absolutely loathed  and there are a few I agreed with but I just couldn’t wrap my head around Trump being president after all the division he caused to get there, it worked, so I guess kudos to him..

Just on the day of election, my son is coming out of Walmart and a white guy approaches him and calls him the N***** word! N***** aren’t worth anything and they don’t do anything for our country. WOW!

Not even a day ago my husband is coming out of autozone  and a white guy says, all you f***ing spicks need to go back to your country. News Flash! This is our country… I mean really? My husband served this country. Why am I mentioning white guy, because those guys are the ones who said it, I for sure know that they are only speaking for themselves and a select group, I am friends and love dearly many white, brown, Latino, Asian, etc etc. people, its all the same to me.. I was praying this was not going to touch my family but it has and it leaves a very bad taste in our mouths.

People always used to think it but now they feel like its ok to just say it. These are exactly the things I was afraid would happen to my Latino family if Trumps behavior was accepted and we voted him president. This is the moment when I wish I was wrong. I know my dear friends that are Trump supporters are shaking their heads saying, those are ignorant people not Trump… this is somewhat true but he made lots of comments that insinuated this type of behavior within people, like it or not, he had the worlds attention and this is how he chose to play the game, and he played a good game and now we have to clean up the crap before this gets out of control by ignorant people who think it’s ok to insult or hurt people just because they are different.. NOT OK!

So now what? For Trump or not For Trump? He’s here… let us pray for him and all the people he is choosing to help run this country because it will effect us all…..for him or not, good or bad.

I’m trusting God will penetrate his demagogue behavior and be used to steer this country to even more greatness for us as citizens and the world at large.

We should pray that God leads the President elect, the congress, the military into wisdom and great victory. God is clear that we are to pray for our leaders. At the end of the day, I may not be in total favor of Trump but I am in total Favor of obeying God.

1 Timothy 2:1-4English Standard Version (ESV) Pray for All People

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

So let us pray that all of us (Americans) (Humans) can find peace in times we fell anxious. God is truly in control. If you believe it, this will calm your heart: if you don’t believe it, I pray that God will reveal to you that He is totally in control of all things. Man is not!

Jeremiah 17:7-8English Standard Version (ESV)

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

So I am in Favor of God and I am in Favor of this great country. So I will pray for Trump to be guided by God and succeed so that we all succeed. Who knows he may surprise us all. We will have to pray and see.

  1. I feel your fear as well. I also have had reservations about the decision made. I kept to myself of who I was leaning towards for a few reasons, one was I really didn’t want to argue with others as i notices around me there were constructive debates going on just nastiness and secondly I feared harm might come to me or my family. So awful your family had to endure some of want I feared. The news is showing people now being pulled out of their cars accused of voting for trump and beaten. Between what your family has been through and now the other side of that is going through, I shale my head and wonder what the heck happened to us. We need to bring the Lord back into our lives, we need to cherish and take care of family, we need to make sure our children understand the first two points and that learn respect, honor and honesty and most of we need to go back to basic common sense, love each other and be kind.

    1. So true Arlene, thank you for sharing. I have taken this month off of tv, news and social media because of all the craziness. I will not live in fear. I have hope that we will soon come back to our senses and realize we are in this together! Divided we will fall.
