I am laying here writing this blog, sad and perplexed as to what are we waiting for? Why do we wait? Wait to get healthy, wait to change to that new career we’ve been wanting, wait to have a relationship with God, with others, wait to get married, wait to have kids, wait for the right moment or opportunity, waiting for the big break, wait, wait wait…. Do we ‘wait’ ourselves out of time? Do we ‘wait’ ourselves out of our purpose and calling in life?

I have a dear friend that is going through a tough fight with cancer; I have other friends and family that are also fighting serious health issues. I just found out I am pre-diabetic, I am always having body aches and feel like crap and I’m only 44yo…. Ok for me that is reversible right now but am I going to ‘wait’ myself into a serious irreversible health problem?

WHAT IN THE WORLD is the procrastination about? Why are we such a bold yet fearful generation?

Does my friend regret waiting for things in life they could’ve had if they just went after it when they wanted to? Do I want to be the person that regrets things I could’ve went after? Do you?

We need to get it right….. now! Not wait for the feeling or opportunity to get it right. I will tell you that the best thing that ever happened to me is God revealing himself to me in my adult life. I have never regretted believing in God and all that He is. God is the only one that has always been faithful and true to his word 100% of the time. People will always disappoint and we will always disappoint others because we are human and flawed, but I don’t get it twisted into thinking that God is people or people are God. I have chosen to believe God at His word and not wait any longer for the things He has in store for me.

God goes ahead of us and prepares our inheritance. How long will we wait to go get it? It is neglectful and irresponsible really. If someone gives you a gift for your life and betterment of it and you never open it what was the point of getting you the gift? Someone else could have used it. OUCH!

Joshua 18:3
Joshua said to the children of Israel: How long will you neglect to go to possess the land, which Jehovah the God of your fathers has given you?

What is your land to posses? Is it health? Career? Ministry? Love? Land? Relationship? Forgiveness? Financial freedom? You fill in the blanks….. It’s different for everyone. What’s not different is the question..

God will clear the way for you and will lead you and protect you. I implore you to pray and go and get your inheritance, it’s already there waiting for you to possess it! Lean on Him and follow His lead.

Exodus 13:21
The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night

Exodus 23:20
20 “See I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.

Deuteronomy 1:30
‘The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes,

Deuteronomy 31:8
“The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Isaiah 45:2
“I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze and cut through their iron bars. (wow, he’s talking about setting you free from the prison bars holding you back)
Numbers 14:14
and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, O LORD, are in the midst of this people, for You, O LORD, are seen eye to eye, while Your cloud stands over them; and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

I can’t procrastinate and neglect the possession of my inheritance anymore! What’s up? Are you taking yours??

  1. Today is great timing for me to read this. I am undertaking a project God told me to get done. That is good. The bad is the months of my procrastination. I beat myself up and ask myself why. This wonderful God forgives me and offers your message and boundless energy now to enthusiastically do the work he wants done.

  2. Just in time as usual girlfriend. God is always on time! Recently I’ve been looking into a new career path. I feel it deep in my heart that it’s the right thing. This recent blog is saying exactly what I’ve always thought about individuals who sit around and complain and don’t DO anything to change what they’re complaining about. Love you girl. You’re in my prayers.
